A Grape, a Nap, and a Mom's Quick Thinking

A Grape, a Nap, and a Mom's Quick Thinking

It was a typical Tuesday afternoon when 3-year-old Liam came running to his mom, clutching his throat. He had been eating grapes from a bowl on the coffee table — one had slipped down while he was laughing, and suddenly he couldn't make a sound.

Sarah, Liam's mom, had bought Mumany just three weeks earlier after seeing a friend's post about a similar incident. She grabbed it from the shelf above the TV, followed the simple protocol, and on the first pull, the grape came right out.

"Liam started crying immediately, and that sound was the best thing I've ever heard," Sarah told us. "I kept the box in the closet because I thought it was 'just in case.' Now it's on the coffee table, where I can reach it in seconds."
