Three-year-old Oliver was at his grandma's house, enjoying a wobbly jelly cube after lunch, when it slid partway down his throat. He was still able to cough weakly, but his breathing was noisy and labored, and he was getting scared.
His grandmother, Eileen, had been skeptical when her daughter bought her a Mumany last year. "I thought, 'I've raised three kids, I know what I'm doing,'" she admitted. "But when it happened, I didn't hesitate. I grabbed it from the kitchen drawer, used it just like the video showed, and the jelly came right out."
Oliver was fine within minutes. Eileen has since become the family's biggest advocate — she's purchased units for both her other children and keeps one in her purse.
"Eating your words tastes pretty good when it means your grandkid is okay," she laughed.
