Six-year-old Ethan was walking through the theme park with his family, sucking on a butterscotch hard candy, when he tripped over a curb. The candy slid straight down his airway.
His dad, Tom, reacted instantly — but Heimlich maneuvers in a crowded park weren't working as well as he'd hoped. He reached into the family day-trip bag, pulled out the Mumany they'd packed for emergencies, and on the second pull, the candy came free.
Park security escorted them to first aid, where the on-site nurse confirmed Ethan was breathing normally and had no further issues.
"We take it everywhere now," Tom said. "The diaper bag turned into a day-trip bag, but Mumany still goes in the front pocket. You never know when you'll need it."
